Effective date: May 1, 2026
Innozilla (“we”, “us”) provides the Per Product Shipping application (“App”) for stores on the Shopify platform. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and share information when a merchant installs and uses the App.
If you do not agree with this policy, please do not install or use the App.
1. Who this policy applies to
This policy applies to merchants who install the App on their Shopify store. It describes our practices as the App developer. Your use of Shopify’s services is also governed by Shopify’s terms and policies.
2. Information we process
We process information needed to operate the App and to provide per-product and per-variant shipping rates. This may include:
a) Store and account information
-
Your Shopify store domain (myshopify.com domain) and identifiers needed to associate data with your store.
-
OAuth session data required to connect the App to your store, which may include access tokens and related session fields provided by Shopify.
-
Where Shopify makes it available to the App, limited staff account details associated with the session (for example, user identifier, name, email, locale, and similar session metadata) as stored by our session layer.
b) Data you configure in the App
-
Shipping rules and settings you create in the App, including product and variant identifiers, geographic matching fields (such as country, state/province, and postal or ZIP patterns), and pricing fields you enter.
-
Other app settings you configure (for example, carrier service naming, fallback behavior, and related options).
c) Product catalog data synced for app functionality
- Product and variant information retrieved from your store via Shopify’s APIs and webhooks to power features such as listing products in the App and keeping rules aligned with your catalog. This may include titles, handles, status, images, SKUs, and related catalog fields as implemented in the App.
d) Operational and support data
-
Technical logs and job metadata related to sync operations, onboarding steps, and similar operational events.
-
Limited shipping rate request information when Shopify’s checkout requests rates from our servers. This is used to calculate and return shipping rates and may be retained in short diagnostic logs (for example, destination and line item details sent in the carrier rate request). We use this to operate the rate service and troubleshoot issues.
-
Transactional email metadata (when enabled): If we configure email delivery through our provider, we may send internal operational notifications (for example, a one-time install notification to our team) that include your store domain and the time of the event. These messages are sent through our email delivery provider and are not used to market unrelated third‑party products to your customers.
We do not use the App to market unrelated third-party products to your customers. We do not sell your personal information.
3. How we use information
We use the information above to:
-
Authenticate and maintain the connection between the App and your Shopify store.
-
Store and apply your shipping rules at checkout via Shopify’s carrier service integration.
-
Keep product data in the App reasonably up to date for configuration and display.
-
Operate, secure, monitor, and improve the App; detect abuse; and provide support (including optional internal alerts such as install notifications when we enable them).
4. Legal bases (where applicable)
If the GDPR or similar laws apply, we process information as necessary to perform our contract with you (providing the App), based on our legitimate interests in operating and securing the service (where not overridden by your rights), and where required to comply with law.
5. Sharing of information
We share information with:
-
Shopify, as needed for the App to function within the Shopify platform and as described in Shopify’s documentation and policies.
-
Infrastructure providers we use to host the App and its database (for example, cloud hosting), who process data on our behalf under appropriate agreements.
-
Twilio SendGrid (or another email delivery provider we may use), only when we send transactional or operational emails through that service (for example, internal install notifications containing your store domain and related send metadata as processed by the provider).
We do not sell personal information. We do not share information with unrelated third parties for their independent marketing purposes.
6. International transfers
If you or your store are located outside the country where we host data, your information may be transferred to and processed in other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards.
7. Retention
We retain information only as long as needed to provide the App and for legitimate business purposes such as security, troubleshooting, and legal compliance. When you uninstall the App, we delete store-associated data in line with Shopify’s mandatory privacy webhooks and our data deletion practices for the App (including records used only to avoid duplicate internal notifications for the same store).
8. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
9. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of certain information, or to object to certain processing. To exercise rights, contact us at [email protected]. You may also uninstall the App at any time through your Shopify admin.
10. Children
The App is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy at https://innozilla.com/shopify-per-product-shipping/ and update the effective date above.
